The nucleus and the bread

“Having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and he broke it and began to eat.”
Acts 27:35

“And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’”
Luke 22:19

Ben and Bethany are here for the weekend and it has been so good to have our children with us. Anne and I are the nucleus of our family, and in particular, Anne has been our children's center, their nucleus, through out high school and middle school. We are such a tactile family that being able to touch each other and connect heart-to-hand is wonderful. Bethany and Ben stuck pretty close to the "nucleus" (see 24 May entry).
We had a celebration meal last night, thanking God for what he has done. While the setting was unique; the family, the food and the fun was a familiar and comfortable motif. It felt so good to celebrate with our children. Thank you Lord.

We are thankful for:
  • Walking to the Pike Place market with Bethany to shop for dinner
  • Playing Frisbee with Ben at the corner of Madison and Spring
  • Our evening walk as a family
  • An early morning walk with Ben to the Pike Plc Market for some breakfast goodies
